I’ve read a few other blogs in the last couple of days. Usually I wasn’t taking the time to do this because I had enough to do on my site. Learning how to get it up and working, then how to keep it going.
I thought is was time I started to get outside of myself and see what the pros are doing and what I can learn from them. I’ve read a few, and connected from one to the other through their suggestions about each other.
What was interesting, is that there is a common link in what they are currently all talking about. Besides the fact that they are writing and blogging about how to blog, they were on the topic of being honest, keeping it real or being authentic.
I am one who comes from doubt in the first place, and especially when dealing with what I hear on the internet. Hearing these three talk about being honest or truthful was great. I felt like I came across some really good sites and people.
First off Rob, at http://www.robswebtips.com/power-keeping-real/ who was a great help to me with finding out how to add plugins to my blog. He didn’t hesitate to reach out however he could and answer all my questions to help me get the plugins uploaded and working. Easy you might think, but for a beginner like myself, not so easy.
Rob is a successful internet story, he’s only 15 years old and making a few thousand a month. Like I said, he helps others get their blogs going with his posts about ways to do it well.
I heard about him through a woman named Lisa, who also helps others build websites and blogs. Her site is http://blog.2createawebsite.com/ . I go to Lisa’s site and look up things I need to learn more about. She posted a case study featuring Rob whom I spoke about above. http://blog.2createawebsite.com/2010/01/25/case-study-robswebtips/
This so impressed me because she was great enough to feature someone who earns money doing the same thing she does on the internet, a competitor. Not many would do that.
As I was browsing on one of their sites, I found another more forward site by Johnny http://johnnybtruant.com/i-do-everything-wrong/ . To some of my readers, this site is a bit more colorful. Meaning Johnny and his readers use a language many would rather not read or hear. Keep that in mind if you choose to read it.
My point here being, how terrific it was to find so many interesting people who are running a business on-line and making it work because they are out there, being honest and doing their thing.
I liked it.
Doing my thing.

I strongly believe it’s important to connect and help others, when and where you can and that’s what I plan on doing.
